This past Saturday there was a little impromptu airshow/fly-in at our local airport featuring some sky divers, vintage airplanes and some of what they called experimental aircraft. After seeing there so called airplanes I could see why they called them experimental. So anyhow I took a break from working around the house here to wander around there for about an hour or so just kinda relaxing. And what's an outing without pic's...so here they are.

That's it for now. Later.

Besides the bright and brilliant colors representing the change of seasons one of the reasons I like the fall season is the start of football once again. I'm not as sports minded as I used to be but I do still like my football. I did play when I was in high school and liked it a lot. So much so that I even thought about going to a small college and playing. Then reality stepped in and I changed my mind. So what happened you might ask. Well you see I stood five foot nothing and weighed about 100 and a little and could run the forty yard dash in three flat, three minutes that is. That along with the fact I made the discovery that even in small schools the football players were huge monstrosities that could snap me like a twig. Thus my football career ended before it even got started. So I stick to watching football on TV, it's safer.

I'm off to bed soon, seems I picked up a little bit of a cold bug.
That's it for now. Later.

P.S. Even though I wish I had, no I didn't take the pic above. Besides it still a little early for the fall colors here.

As the sun set tonight we officially bid farewell to summer as the fall season starts tomorrow. And although the fall season is not that bad, in fact it can be quite beautiful, we all know what is soon to follow. Yep...Winter!!! I know I'm not ready for the wintry scenes that accompany winter.

But hey, wait a minute, what am I worried about? If, no, when my plan comes together, when it's winter to the max here this should be the scenery I have to look at.

Just a little added incentive to make my plan work. But right now there's still more work to get done before this can happen, but I'm getting closer.
That's it for now. Later.

Oh happy day, well almost anyhow. Anyway we do seem to be making some progress now. This afternoon we finally had a real estate agent over to walk through the house. And I'm pleased to say all our work on the house appears to have paid off. The real estate lady walked through the house going that a plus, several time even. Although we still have a couple of weeks of work left till we will be ready to show the house. That's mainly because my sister's husband who is a carpenter and doing a lot of the work is not here. Seems they decided to spend this week in Cancun for their wedding anniversary. There was some bad news from the realtor, well not bad news, just something I didn't want to hear. She told us that even when someone makes an offer and we accept it it will take another thirty to forty days for the sale to be final. I thought damn, another delay in putting my plan to work. Oh well that's life I guess.

My idea of packing.

Ok, not really, just thinning out some of the junk accumulated over the years so that packing won't be as bad as it could have been. I know the garbage men, oh wait I mean sanitary engineers, will be glad when we are finally through because we've had a pile like this every week for the past three weeks. I don't care as long as they pick it up.

After working most of the weekend already I'm a gonna take the evening off and just surf the web till I fall asleep.
That's it for now. Later.

I had the day off today, of course it looks like I'll have the day off on Monday as well since this latest assignment ended as of yesterday. So I started off the day going and getting a much needed haircut...phew I look human again. Not that I have anything against long hair, it just don't go well with me. I then came back to the house and got busy for the rest of the day.

Kat commented on how clean this little town I live in is. And I'll admit it is fairly clean but there's one thing I think we would have in common, and that is shitty drivers. Yeah the type who think they own the road but really can't drive for shit.. Or the kind that really bug me, the type who don't seem to understand what a reasonable interval between cars is. Everytime I look in the mirror it's like I'm driving a stretch limo. Either that or I've got a strong magnet attached to the back of my car which automatically sucks the car behind me right up onto my back bumper. But then what's life without a little excitement.

That's about all I have right now. I'm heading off to catch up on some reading. Later.

Same Shit Different Day

I'm tired with lots to do still. So not many words tonight but I do have some more pic's for your viewing.
That's it for now. Later.

I was going to post sooner but I've spent most of the day trying to get my unemployment reinstated for last week when I didn't work at all. Every time I thought I had it figured out another hidden rule or regulation crept up to snag me. Finally after several internet searches and a few phone calls I got it straightened out. I start back to work again tomorrow so hopefully I won't have to go through this again.

Not long ago I posted how the summer seemed to fly by and wondered where it went. Well, now I know it's official summer is over, even though it's still hot outside. How do I know this? Easy, my last trip to WalMart gave me all the proof I needed. When I was in there I noticed they had the Halloween items on the shelf already. Hell they were even putting Christmas decorations out. With stores like these around who needs a calendar, even if they are a few months early on everything.
That's it for now. Later.

More Lake Pic's

Taking a quick break to post a few more pic's from my drive around the lake the other day.

Damn!! Thank goodness they put this sign up or else I may have been have driven straight into the lake.

That's it for now. Later.

I haven't been updating as much lately. And though it's true I have been busy, I just haven't been able to come up with anything to post. Seems I have a million things bouncing around in my head, still I couldn't come with anything to post. Maybe it's the frustration factor building because it's taking longer then expected to get this house ready to sell and I'm getting anxious. For I can't put my plan to work on moving and starting up my life again until it sells. Must practice patience I suppose.

I have somehow become the designated painter, I have had a paint brush in my hand so much these last few days it seems like I've grown an extra finger on my left hand. But this afternoon I finally reached a point where I just had to get away before I painted myself into a corner. So I dropped the paint brush grabbed the cam got in the car and went for a drive. Ended up at the lake where I took a short walk...it helped.
That's it for now. Later.

So yeah, I'm still around. It's just that I've been crazy busy, or maybe I've been busy going crazy. Ok, so that's not really true it just seems like it. Hopefully I'll have more time soon to create a decent post.
